1Who we are
Time Counter is published by:
- Filip Urban, trading as Mochi Shop — a sole proprietorship entered in the Polish Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG)
- NIP (tax identification number): 5833578725
- Email (support, complaints and privacy): mochishop.support@gmail.com
Mochi Shop is a brand name, not a separate company. Below, “we” or “the Provider” means Filip Urban as the business above. “You” means the person using Time Counter.
2What Time Counter is (scope of the service)
Time Counter is an Android application that calculates and displays the time elapsed since, or remaining until, dates you enter. It also renders Android Home Screen widgets showing the same information.
Time Counter runs entirely on your device. We operate no server that stores your counters. There are no accounts, no sign-in and no cloud sync. What Time Counter does for you, it does locally.
Two things reach outside your device, and only these:
- Counter+ — an optional one-time purchase, handled by Google Play with entitlement recorded by RevenueCat. To recognise a purchase, the app checks its Counter+ status with RevenueCat when it starts and each time you return to it (see section 5 and the Privacy Policy).
- Support — if you email us.
3Technical requirements
To use Time Counter you need:
- an Android device running Android 7.0 (API level 24) or later;
- Google Play services and the Google Play Store app, if you want to buy or restore Counter+;
- an internet connection, only at the moment you buy or restore Counter+. Everything else works offline;
- free storage space for the app and for any background photos you choose.
Time Counter’s widgets require a launcher that supports Android App Widgets.
4Using Time Counter, and what you must not do
You may install and use Time Counter on devices associated with your Google account, for your own personal use, under the licence Google Play grants you.
You must not:
- supply or store, through Time Counter, content that is unlawful — content that infringes the rights of others, or whose possession or distribution is prohibited by law. Time Counter stores content only on your own device and we never see it, but this obligation applies to you regardless;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or modify Time Counter, except where the law expressly permits it (including for interoperability);
- redistribute Time Counter, or circumvent Counter+ in order to obtain paid features without paying for them.
5Counter+ — the one-time purchase
What it is. Counter+ is a single, permanent, non-consumable purchase. It unlocks additional appearance options: photo backgrounds for counters, and the Clear and Photo widget styles. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Buying it once unlocks it for the Google account that bought it, on any device signed in to that account, permanently.
Price. The price shown in the app is always Google Play’s own localised price for your country, including any applicable VAT. We never display a figure of our own. Google shows the final total before you confirm.
Who you buy from. The purchase is made through Google Play’s billing system. For buyers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google is the merchant of record for that transaction, acting as our agent while we act as principal. This means Google takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles VAT; we remain the supplier of the digital content itself and remain responsible for it (see section 7).
When the contract is concluded and performed. The contract is concluded when you confirm the purchase in Google Play’s own purchase screen. Counter+ is unlocked immediately afterwards.
Compatibility and interoperability. Counter+ requires the same Android version and Google Play services as Time Counter itself (section 3). It unlocks features inside Time Counter only; it produces no file or content usable in other software, and it depends on no third-party software beyond Google Play.
6Right of withdrawal
For digital content supplied immediately, EU and Polish consumer law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal unless you have expressly consented to performance beginning before that period ends and have acknowledged that you therefore lose that right (Polish ustawa o prawach konsumenta, art. 38 ust. 1 pkt 13, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU).
Counter+ is delivered instantly. Google Play’s own Terms of Service obtain that consent and acknowledgement as part of its purchase flow, and Google’s published refund policy for the EEA and the UK states that a buyer waives the automatic statutory right of withdrawal for digital content in exchange for immediate availability.
We do not rely on that to shut the door. If you believe you are entitled to withdraw, contact us at mochishop.support@gmail.com and we will deal with it on its merits. Nothing in this document takes away a right the law gives you, and no part of it should be read as “all sales final”.
7If Counter+ does not work as it should (statutory conformity)
Counter+ is digital content within the meaning of Chapter 5b of the Polish ustawa o prawach konsumenta (art. 43h and following), which implements Directive (EU) 2019/770. That gives you rights we cannot and do not limit:
- Counter+ must match its description, and be of the type, quality, completeness, functionality, compatibility and interoperability you can reasonably expect of digital content of this kind.
- If it does not, you may require us to bring it into conformity. If we cannot, or do not do so within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you may demand a price reduction or withdraw from the contract.
- We will supply updates, including security updates, necessary to keep Counter+ in conformity, for as long as you can reasonably expect for a one-time purchase of this kind.
- Where the law requires it, the burden of proving conformity is ours, not yours.
These rights exist independently of Google Play’s own refund policy, and they are not replaced by it.
8Complaints (tryb postępowania reklamacyjnego)
Send a complaint to mochishop.support@gmail.com. Please include:
- what the problem is and when it started;
- your device model and Android version;
- your Support ID, shown on Time Counter’s About screen, if the complaint concerns Counter+;
- what you would like us to do.
Never send us your counters’ contents, your photos, or anything else personal that we do not need. We do not want it and cannot use it.
We will confirm receipt and respond within 14 days of receiving the complaint. If we do not respond within 14 days to a consumer complaint concerning conformity, the complaint is considered accepted under Polish law.
If we cannot resolve it between us, you may use out-of-court dispute resolution. In Poland this includes the Wojewódzkie Inspektoraty Inspekcji Handlowej and the municipal/district consumer ombudsman (miejski lub powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów); information is available from UOKiK at uokik.gov.pl and polubowne.uokik.gov.pl. Using these routes is voluntary, and nothing here obliges you to. You may always go to court.
9Refunds
Refund requests for a Counter+ purchase are handled in the first instance by Google Play, which took the payment and holds the transaction. Google’s refund policy and process apply to that route.
If Google declines and you believe you have a statutory right to a refund under section 6 or section 7, write to us at mochishop.support@gmail.com. Where a statutory right applies, we will honour it — Google’s commercial policy does not override it.
10Updates
We may publish updates to Time Counter through Google Play. Updates may add, change or remove features. We will supply updates necessary to keep Counter+ in conformity with the contract, as described in section 7.
Time Counter contains no over-the-air update mechanism of its own; all updates come through Google Play.
11Ending your use of Time Counter
You may stop using Time Counter at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling deletes everything Time Counter stored on your device, including your counters and any photos you added. It does not cancel or refund a Counter+ purchase — that record stays with Google and RevenueCat, which is what lets you restore Counter+ later. See the Privacy Policy, section 14.
We may stop distributing or supporting Time Counter in future. If we do, any Counter+ purchase you have already made remains subject to your statutory rights under section 7.
12Intellectual property
Time Counter, its name, its icon and its source code are ours (or our licensors’). Buying Counter+ does not transfer ownership of anything; it unlocks features within the app. Open-source components included in Time Counter remain subject to their own licences.
Your content stays yours. Your counters, their names and dates, and any photo you choose as a background remain entirely yours. We acquire no rights in them, and we could not use them if we wanted to — they never leave your device.
13Liability
We are liable for non-performance or improper performance of our obligations under this document on the terms set by the applicable law, including the Polish Civil Code and consumer-protection law.
Nothing here excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited — in particular for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intentional fault, or for our obligations under sections 6 and 7 towards consumers.
14Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Polish law.
If you are a consumer resident in another EU/EEA country, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence (Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, Article 6), and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence (Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012).
15Changes to these terms
We may update this document. The current version always lives at the URL where you found it, with the effective date at the top. A change does not affect a Counter+ purchase you have already made — that is governed by the version in force when you bought it.

17Risks of using electronic services, and data placed on your device
Any software that connects to the internet carries general risks — for example malware on the device, or data being intercepted on an insecure network. Time Counter’s only network traffic, the Counter+ status check and purchase requests to RevenueCat and Google Play, is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Keep your device’s software up to date and install apps only from trusted sources.
Because Time Counter has no cloud sync, losing or resetting your device can mean losing your counters unless Android’s own backup is switched on (see the Privacy Policy, section 11).
Software and data we place on your device. Time Counter includes RevenueCat’s software, which generates and stores an anonymous App User ID and keeps your last known Counter+ status so the app works offline. Its only purpose is to recognise and restore Counter+ purchases. Time Counter also keeps your counters, settings, widget designs and chosen photos in its own private storage (see the Privacy Policy, sections 3–4).
